Several local businesses have recently donated money in support of the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office through the Qualified Law Enforcement Foundation program.
The program, which allows individuals and businesses to designate their state income tax to support qualifying law enforcement foundations, enhances the agency’s ability to conduct their day-to-day operations.
Anyone in the state can get pre-approved for a portion of their state taxes to be allocated to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office fund.
The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office is one of 37 qualified law enforcement foundations in Georgia. Citizens and businesses can choose to defer their state taxes, or a portion thereof, to any of the qualified foundations in the state.
So far, the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Fund has received donations from Briscoe & Tonge, First American Bank, David Steele, G2 Research and the Pulte Group.
