Fourteen people were arrested early Wednesday in a multi-agency drug sweep that followed a five-month undercover operation by the Winder Police Department’s narcotics unit.
Assisting in the sweep were the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office and the State Parole Office.
An arrest by sheriff’s investigators turned into a family affair after they discovered marijuana growing on a home’s back deck and found three weapons – two Smith & Wesson pistols and an Inter Arms pistol.
According to a Winder Police Department press release, the "family was growing and processing marijuana on the back deck.”
