A Barrow County firefighter is vying to become one of 15 firefighters featured in the Georgia Heat Firefighters Calendar.
Aaron Fuller has been named a finalist, according to the Barrow County Fire and Emergency Services. Sales of the calendar benefit the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.
“Now with the voting in place we are asking all of Barrow County to get behind Aaron and help him as he helps the Burn Foundation,” said chief Robert Post.
The Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation is a state wide organization whose three-fold mission is to educate the public in burn awareness and prevention, to support medical facilities in the care of burns in Georgia, and to assist burn survivors in their recovery.
Fuller joined Barrow County Fire in September 2003.
“I became a firefighter because I wanted a career that was honorable and allowed me to have fun,” Fuller said. “Now that I am here I can’t see myself doing anything else.”
To vote for Fuller, log onto the Georgia Firefighters website at www.gfbf.org and click on the calendar link.
“We are proud that Aaron has made it this far,” said chief Post. “Now we ask Barrow citizens to show him how proud they are of him also.”
