The father of a six-year-old Clayton County boy who was reported missing and then found staying with a relative in Barrow County has been charged with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. [Full Story »] 

A Barrow County sheriff’s deputy knew who he was looking for Jan. 22 after a Chevrolet Cavalier had been reported missing from an Auburn Dollar General store parking lot — the suspected car thief was caught on video taking the car from the parking lot.

According to a Barrow County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Kevin Brown, 49, of 274 King St., Winder, was arrested on one felony count of theft by receiving stolen property and two parole violation warrants.

Dollar General employees and Auburn Police were able to look at the video of the suspect driving the car —who they identified as Brown because of he left the store to return some items prior to getting in the car. [Full Story »]
