James P. Hardigree, 86, of Hoschton, died Thursday, March 27, 2008.
A native of Oconee County, he was the son of the late Willie and Willie Mae Fincher Hardigree. He was a member of the Center United Methodist Church and was a retired plumber. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Hardigree was preceded in death by a son, Tony Hardigree.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Hosch Hardigree; children, Tyron Hardigree, Dawsonville, Bill Hardigree, Gainesville, Tim Hardigree, Hoschton, and Twanda Finch, Bethlehem; sisters, Lillian Finch and Laura Finch, both of Augusta, Louise Fincher, Winder, and Annie Wofford, Statham; brothers, Herbert Hardigree, Locust Grove, Harold Hardigree, Winder, and Ramie Hardigree, Monroe; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 30, at 2 p.m., from the Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Banks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, March 29, from 5 to 9 p.m.
