Grady Ira Bentley, 84, of Winder, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008.
He was born in Walton County, the son of the late William Albert and Eunice Ruth Wood Bentley. He was a member of the Winder First Baptist Church, and had worked at Winder Rug Mill and for the City of Winder. Mr. Bentley was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II and was in seven major battles.
Survivors include his wife, Alline Reidling Bentley, Winder; daughters, Peggy Crowe, Winder, and Diane Miller, Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Bentley, Dacula; and a sister, Dot Harmon, Atlanta.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 27, at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Joel Shadburn officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
