Town of Bethlehem officials expressed concern over the long-term ability to offer sewer service to residents.
During a July 7 meeting, councilman Wayne Ridgeway talked with mayor Sandy McNab and other council members about a recent service strategy meeting he attended.
“During the next 10 years if there is going to be sewer for Bethlehem, we may need to look at a joint effort between us and Winder, or us and Barrow,” Ridgeway said. “It might be worthwhile to get some things defined. If Winder doesn’t want to be part of it, we may need to look at other options. We probably need to visit with Winder and see what their capability is.”
