The Barrow County Board of Education is nearing the end of its superintendent search after completing the second round of interviews last week.
The board was asked to consider the candidates independently then reconvene as a group to discuss. The board met with its search consultant following a budget review on Tuesday. While no decision was made, chairman Mark Still hopes to reach an agreement soon.
"I would hope that we would announce it within the week," said Still.
