Walton Development & Management has filed a zoning application for a new mixed-use development not far from Apalachee High School.
Walton Georgia LLC purchased the project’s 63.9-acre site in the southwestern quadrant of the intersection of Tom Miller Road and Roxey Maxey Road two years ago for $351,400.
According to documents, the company is calling the planned development “Parkside,” and is seeking approval for a master plan that would include 48,600 square feet of commercial and retail space, 149 single-family houses, and 272 multi-family units.
Because of the size of the development, the Northeast Georgia Regional Commission is conducting a routine Development of Regional Impact review.
According to the DRI application filed by Barrow County’s planning department, the estimated completion date for the development is 2022.
