A racing fan may be the culprit in a burglary last week.
Auburn Police were called to the Carter Road address after the homeowner arrived home to find hundreds of dollars worth of NASCAR memorabilia missing.
The thief or thieves made off with several items including autographed photographs of Tony Stewart, Reed Sorenson, Kyle Bush and Juan Pablo Montoya. A Tony Stewart jacket and three Dale Jr. jackets were also stolen.
Perhaps hoping their next race watching experience would be more enjoyable, the perpetrators also took a Phillips 32 inch flat screen television.
Other items removed from the residence included a Wii video game system and two bottles of men’s cologne.
The police were able to gather fingerprints from the scene. The case remains under investigation.
