Statham police investigate possible burglaries

The Statham Police Department investigated two possible burglaries this past week. One incident occurred on Railroad Street, the other on Lillian Way.

Officers were also called to investigate a theft by taking on McCarty Road.

In total, the department investigated ten incidents, issued 16 tickets and wrote seven warnings.

Arrests made by the Statham police this past week include:

• Oscar Alejandro Paz-Pineda, 32, unknown address, Athens, driving while unlicensed.

• Thaddus Demarkeo Riden, 35, 385 Arrow Hatchee Dr., Winder, speeding and driving with suspended license.

• Reggie Turner, age and address unavailable, probation violation.
