City officials are aiming for a quick resolution of the painted-pig controversy in downtown Winder. The city’s License & Permits Office on Tuesday released a copy of a proposed zoning ordinance amendment that defines and regulates outdoor murals in business districts. As written, it would require some major alterations to the Smokin’ Po-Boys BBQ sign that covers an entire wall of the restaurant. There will be a public hearing at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, and a city council discussion at a meeting starting at 6 p.m. Monday. The council is to vote on the amendment at its 6 p.m. meeting Tuesday, Nov. 12.
