A domestic dispute over bills ended in a trip to jail for a Winder man.
William Thomas Shaw, 808 Rushwood Rd., and his wife were on their way home when they began arguing over their financial situation.
According to the report, Shaw pulled the car over on the side of the road and ordered his wife out of the vehicle. While on the side of the road, Shaw threw his cell phone on the ground causing it to break.
A witness to the incident told a Barrow County Sheriff’s deputy that Shaw was using foul language with his wife. The witness declined to repeat the words describing them as “vulgar and crude.”
A background check indicated Shaw had two outstanding warrants.
Shaw was taken into custody for the outstanding warrants and charged with simple assault.
