Barrow County seniors who graduated in May scored a little higher on the Scholastic Assessment Test than did students who graduated in 2012. The school system’s average score on the 2013 college entrance exam rose six points to 1,386, which was high enough to beat average scores in Clarke (1,341) and Walton counties (1,350), but not in Gwinnett (1,513) or Oconee counties (1,554). Barrow’s system average also was below state (1,452) and national (1,498) averages.
