On the agenda of tonight’s meeting of the Barrow County Board of Commissioners is a proposal to study the feasibility of a public-private partnership or partnerships for the operation of the county government’s general services. BOC Chairman Pat Graham has been promoting the concept in the community, but some of her fellow BOC members reportedly are not on board with the idea. The 7 p.m. meeting is open to the public and will be in the meeting room on the second floor of the government’s headquarters at 233 E. Broad St. just north of downtown Winder.
Please let me see some stats on who the largest employer of the county is...Maybe the BOE is near the top but not the BOC. Or John Mansville, GP Enterprises, United Waste Management, Chicos. Where do these rate if the BOC is the largest?
