At a called meeting Tuesday, March 19, Winder’s mayor and city council will elect the council member who will complete the unexpired term of the late Charlie Eberhart. Seven Ward 2 residents applied for the appointment.
At the same meeting, the council also will appoint the next Winder Municipal Court judge. An in-house interview panel recommended the appointment of Dale R. “Bubba” Samuels, a lawyer in private practice in Buford.
The meeting is at 6 p.m. March 19 at the Winder Community Center.

Because OF COURSE the City would consider a Municipal Judge who goes by the nickname "Bubba". No offense Mr. Samuels, but you will fit right in here.
