Barrow County’s tax digest — the combined taxable value of all property — is expected to drop again this year for the fifth consecutive time since 2008. Chris Griner, the school system’s director of finance and business services, recently produced a three-year financial forecast projecting a 10-percent decline this year, followed by two more drops in 2014 and 2015. Cecil Highfield, the county government’s chief assessor, confirmed the expected drop for this year, which he said could be 10 percent or more. But he said projecting declines further out is not really possible.

And, what high school sophomore would not be graded down for using the slang phrase "blow through" in a formal paper? Unsophisticated lottery winners "blow through" their unearned windfall. Rock stars "blow through" airports with their entourages. Tsk, tsk, my dear. You reduce the gravity of your splendid reporting by using such language.
Just to be positive, the proper use of the term "loath" cancels out one of the errors above. Good work.
