“Partisan” is not a word meaning evil, nasty, mean, disrespectful, wanting to starve children, or keeping medicine away from old people. Liberals want us to believe that.
“Partisan” simply means “a strong supporter of a faction, party, etc.” It’s having a strongly held belief.
So why are Republicans condemned for being “partisan” when Democrats are “strong supporters” of what they believe?
There’s nothing wrong with believing certain principles strongly and being willing to defend those beliefs.
It’s not wrong to influence others to accept them and vote for candidates who run on them. We can disagree without being disagreeable.
Attempts by liberals and Democrats to discredit their opponents as “partisan” are really attempts to stifle our free speech and thought. And that threat should alarm all of us!
There will be different partisan political philosophies. Be thankful! If it wasn’t for that, Georgia might still be a colony of England.
If it wasn’t for partisanship, slavery might be still legal in the U.S. If it wasn’t for partisanship, some people would not have their civil rights.
I’m told about 80 percent of Republicans in the U.S. Senate voted for civil rights in 1964. About 75 percent of Democrats then voted against, including every single southern Democratic Senator.
Aren’t you glad someone passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965? It was the right thing to do. Let freedom ring. God bless us with respectful partisanship!

Right now the Republican party has the near-monopoly on xenophobia and racism (which is not to say all Republicans are xenophobic or racist), and in another 40 it'll be the Democrats again.
Or maybe one of the third-parties will swoop in and take up the banner of dumb ideology. :D
You NAILED it.
If our elected "leaders" (I use the term very, very loosely) would vote for and DO the right things for OUR COUNTRY instead of for their PARTY (or their own bank accounts), we wouldn't have nearly as many problems that seemingly can't be solved.
If people would look past the end of their nose and see the truth, instead of trying to blame the "other party", you would see a lot less of the nonsense. But, it seems apparent that MOST people aren't bright enough to realize the difference between horse-hockey and a real FACT even when it’s tossed right into their face.
I am continually surprised (although by now I shouldn't be!) by how often I hear or read comments made by people that make absolutely NO SENSE AT ALL, and its usually nothing more than a repetition of some twisted half-truth spouted by some bigot or political hack.
I am amazed by the people who think that they are SO smart and loudly proclaim their "wisdom" for all to hear, not realizing that they are blatantly showing the world just how stupid they really are.
It’s shameful and embarrassing.
