The criminal investigation of Winder’s utility billing operations nabbed a former assistant supervisor of meter readers, but it did not result in criminal charges against the former director of the department.
In response to an inquiry from the newspaper, Winder police Major Jim Fullington said Tuesday that Dawn Reidling is not facing any criminal charges.
“After discussing the details of the investigation with investigators, District Attorney Brad Smith stated there was not sufficient evidence at this time to pursue any criminal charges against Ms. Dawn Reidling,” wrote Fullington, who was the special agent in charge of the GBI’s Athens office during last year’s investigation.

I think that Mr. Smith has a recurring history of telling the GBI that there is insufficient evident specifically when it deals with suspected crimes against local governments and/or their employees. It seems that the more that things change, the more that stay the same. Yet the public comes down with a large case of "ghonnare-electum" everytime they go to the ballots.

Nice to see pig Latin is still alive and well even in Barrow. But if you really want to clear the clap all you need is to hold the elected arrogance to party tenets rather then church affiliation.

Elated to see this article as we all knew that there was nothing that Dawn did wrong. It's an absolute shame that she was cheated out of her retirement after being with the city for as many years as she was. Shame on Winder!
