BUFORD - Mary Jeanelle Jeffreys, 80, formerly of Flowery Branch, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013, at Marieta's Mission following an extended illness.
She was born September 7, 1932, the daughter of the late John Arven and Callie Heaton Burrell in Toccoa and graduated in 1949 from Toccoa High School. She had been a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. Mrs. Jeffreys was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford Jeffreys; and siblings.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kim Knutson; son David Knutson; grandchildren, Dana Knutson Arevalo and Michael Knutson; great-grandson, Brandon Arevalo; twin sister, Jeanette Baird Viera; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 10, from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Wade will officiate. The family will receive friends 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., Thursday, January 10, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
