Barrow County Fire and Emergency Services responded just before 4 p.m. Saturday to the 500 block of Loganville Highway to a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival, crews found smoke showing from a commercial building occupied by Barrow Commercial Tire.
“The firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the building and went into an aggressive offensive attack,” said Lieutenant Scott Dakin. “They did a great job of containing and controlling the fire.”
The fire was contained to the restroom and attic area where it originated. Firefighters remained on the scene to perform salvage and overhaul and to remove smoke from the structure.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Fire Investigation team.
