The special agent in charge of the Athens office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has accepted an offer to become the Winder Police Department’s second-in-command. Chief Dennis Dorsey introduced Jim Fullington to the Winder City Council at a meeting Monday. Fullington is retiring from the GBI on Dec. 31 and the following day will step into the city’s newly created position of police major. He will oversee much of the police operations and will bring to the department a depth of experience in criminal investigations.

According to reports, the GBI turned the case over to the DA a long time ago. Do you think Brad Smith is going to do anything? He has ties to some of the Pendergrass crowd. Just look up who donated to him when he won office. Plus, he is an absentee DA, just ask around, nobody can ever seem to find him.
