The Barrow County Chamber of Commerce will present a celebration of the Barrow County School System the night before the county's biggest rivalry matchup.
“Tailgate Barrow” will be held on Thursday, Oct. 2, from 6-9 p.m., at the Barrow County Board of Education, at 179 W. Athens Street, Winder.
Winder-Barrow High School and Apalachee High School will play on Friday, Oct. 3.
The pre-game event is a community event that will spread team spirit, according to the chamber of commerce.
The event will feature moon walks, dunking booths, and football kicking and passing challenges. Football players, cheerleaders, bands and other clubs from both high schools will also perform. The event will raise money for the schools’ booster clubs or PTOs.
