Parents say Tripp will likely survive

The young boy struck and critically injured by a falling tree limb in Winder has turned a corner, his parents say, with doctors telling the family this week he may “survive.” The announcement from Bill and Stacy Halstead about their 2-year-old son Tripp was posted on Facebook. The social networking site has become a rallying place for thousands of supporters who’re monitoring the boy’s condition at Tripp Halstead Updates and raising money for the family.

I do think the wording was a bit distasteful in this heading...

This little boy has already survived, and he is overcoming as we speak. 'Likely' is a bleak term, and this little boy is amazing.
