Early voter turnout in Barrow County at 29% as of Wednesday night

The number of Barrow County residents voting in advance of the Nov. 6 elections surpassed the 10,000 mark Wednesday night. According to elections supervisor Monica Franklin, 798 more people voted Wednesday. That brought the number of advance voters to 9,310, and another 777 absentee paper ballots have been returned to her office.

The total of 10,087 early voters is 29 percent of the 34,547 local residents registered to vote as of Oct. 1. The final two days of advance voting are today and Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Barrow County Board of Commissioners meeting room on the second floor of the government building at 233 E. Broad St. Elevators are available.

The Romney/Ryan ticket represents the best hope for returning America to a path of Economic prosperity. I am urging all voters here in Barrow County to please cast your vote for the Romney/Ryan Republican Presidential ticket, and help take back America!

How do you even know who you're voting for? Romney has more positions than the Kama Sutra. At least an Etch A Sketch has no true beliefs hidden under the aluminium powder.

Presidential election results taken this AM from the Georgia Secretary of State's website for Barrow County:
Romney- 74.37%/ 18,719 votes
Obama - 23.79%/ 6,019 votes

It's interesting to note when one checks the counties that voted republican are mostly rural and the cities voted democrat.

Yes he did.......but not in Barrow County, or in GA. Republicans voters did the job they were asked to do, and defeated Obama. The good news is he is gone in 2016.

In what universe do you exist? Your man got his clock cleaned, yet an embittered old white man extends his withered claw to grasp for a meaningless crumb. Being gracious in defeat is not part of your warped DNA.
Hint to you and the rest of the GOP: Until and unless you acknowledge the fact that the demographics of the country have changed and adjust your philosophy accordingly, you won't see the inside of the White House unles you take a guided tour. Social programs, abortion and gay marriage are here to stay. And grinding your false molars to dust over those issues insures electoral landslides. Now you may go bad to your guns & godz, you tiresome old coot.

Obama and the rest of the demorats are destroying America , brining a failed European socialist model to America. They want your money, they want your guns and they want your religion . The only way we can fight them right now is at the ballot box. Vote for Americas future, vote for liberty and freedom, vote for your religious freedom. Vote for your own and your children's economic .
4 more years of demorat rule will see Americans using Chinese money, no electricity, no muninciple service and no Bill of Rights. Everyone will be bowing towards Mecca .
