An early morning fire Wednesday damaged a historic house on the 300 block of Carl Bethlehem Road, causing a family of four to be displaced. None of the residents were injured in the blaze, which happened around 3:50 a.m. Wednesday morning. Flames were visible from the rear of the more than 100-year-old house when firefighters arrived. They brought the blaze under control quickly.The incident prompted the department to remind citizens to have their fireplaces cleaned and inspected after uses.
