The Barrow County Board of Education approved during its Tuesday meeting an architectural firm and a topographical survey for the new career academy and its future site off Ga. Highway 316. The board also moved forward with financing for the project by scheduling a called meeting 6 p.m. Thursday to finalize approval of $16 million in bond sales.

For those who dont know a young person DIED on 316 in Barrow County the day it opened. There is no need for a School Building NEAR or "OFF GA 316" for any reason, there is no need for that. It is not a for-profit business, it needs no "passing thru/out of town" advertising or exposure to Traffic like shopping centers.
This is WHY we need a Complete OVERHAUL of the Board of Education and Superintendents Office.
How is this "Centrally" Located anyway? -Not per the Popoulation, How many Barrow Students need to Die? --Is even ONE acceptable.
Think about your Children, what will 316 be like in 5 years? 10 years? Is that where you want Your Child?
If that is your only complaint, than it would seem that all is good.
