The Barrow County Board of Education agreed during its meeting on Tuesday to move forward with $16 million in bond financing for new school construction, buses and technology. Chairman Mark Still polled the board members, but did not take a vote on the proposed bond sale. Every board member said they approved a timeline that would put the issue on the table for a final vote during a called meeting planned for Oct. 30.

Will you move the article about the JROTC at WBHS to this comment section, please?
Creel's comment that this '...matter has already been investigated by Dr. Darby, Mr. McMichael, and two BOE members (loose quote)' is crazy. The Army Col. that wrote the 'Letter of Concern' refers ONLY to District Leadership's antagonistic and non-supportive treatment of the WBHS JROTC program and Maj. Tom Evans.
So, is Creel saying that her principal (Darby) an assistant superintendent and two BOE members investigated HER??? Yeah, right!
Please ask Creel which two BOE members "investigated". I am a property owner in Barrow and I would like to speak to those two BOE members about their findings.
