The second annual Lazy Daze outdoor music festival will be held Saturday, September 20, from 7 p.m. until midnight in downtown Winder.
The event will be held in the area between the Winder Community Center and the Winder Picnic Pavilion. The event is free and will include the best in local and regional bands. Artists scheduled to perform include Devon & Chance, One Way, Southfire, Daniel Lee and the Moonshiners, and 15 South.
A variety of food vendors will participate and other activities will be available, including a Guitar Hero tournament. The winner of the Guitar Hero Challenge will win a Nintendo Wii with two controllers, two guitars and Guitar Hero III. Interested participants can enter the contest at City Hall. There is a registration fee of $10. Only 64 slots are available.
Festivities will conclude with a 9 p.m. fireworks show.
The City of Winder will also be promoting Patriots Call. This organization supports the families of servicemen and women during armed service deployments.
