Attorneys involved with the civil lawsuit pitting a former Apalachee High School teacher against the Barrow County School System agreed Friday to drop superintendent Wanda Creel as a defendant in the suit. She was not employed in the system when the incident over a Facebook posting led to the issue. Judge David Motes made no judgments Friday, but said he would rule soon on the lawyers’ arguments to end the case or allow it to continue. He did agree with both sides, however, that Creel, who attended the hearing, should be removed from the suit.
