With strong support from the Barrow County Board of Commissioners, the county government tax rates will climb 23-25 percent, depending on whether one lives inside or outside the city limits of Winder. The BOC tentatively endorsed the county budget for FY2013 Tuesday. Following three public hearings this month, the final budget is scheduled for adoption on Sept. 25. The new fiscal year starts six days after that on Oct. 1. The move will be the first tax hike since 2007.

Like fire and Police protection. But, hey the BOC got what it wants...
Anyone ever been to any of the dozens of Gwinnett County parks? Most (if not all) are simply amazing. This county offers nothing to attract new business and new residents. Nothing. And yet it is going to cost us more to live here, so what it does offer is undue burden for those that (foolishly) chose to live here. What an absolute disaster.
