The Barrow County Board of Education voted unanimously to leave the school tax rate at 18.50 mills for the upcoming year.
The rate will result in property taxes of $1,850 for every $100,000 of assessed value.
The county will set its millage rate at the September 23 meeting of the Barrow County Board of Commissioners. The county has proposed a rate of 7.182 mills for Winder residents and 9.338 mills for residents outside the city limits. The proposed rates are unchanged from last year.
