A woman told Braselton police that her husband and his girlfriend were both in possession of marijuana and could be found at a local restaurant, according to an incident report.
An officer met the husband at El Centinela Mexican Restaurant on Spout Springs Road, where the 28-year-old Flowery Branch man said he had been smoking marijuana. He told the officer that he had marijuana and a pipe in his truck. He allowed the officer to search his vehicle.
In the truck, an officer found a small glass jar containing suspected marijuana, according to an incident report. The officer also found a set of leg shackles and a handcuff key in the passenger area of the truck.
The man said a Gwinnett County deputy gave him the leg shackles at the Gwinnett County Courthouse about eight months ago, according to an incident report. He voluntarily gave them to an officer.
Meanwhile, the man’s girlfriend also said she smoked marijuana and it was in a pipe in her vehicle. The 23-year-old Roswell woman allowed police to search her vehicle, where they found a small baggy containing suspected marijuana.
Both the man and his girlfriend were issued citations for the marijuana. Braselton police also asked authorities in Hall County to investigate a domestic violence incident that the man’s wife reported happened in that jurisdiction.
