In an unusual move, the Barrow County Board of Education has scheduled a called closed-door meeting for Tuesday night (tonight) at 6 p.m., but with minimal notice. State law requires that notices of called meetings be given at least 24 hours in advance, but the notice of tonight's meeting only went out around 2 p.m. today. Government agencies can call a meeting in less than 24 hours for "special circumstances," but it wasn't clear what that might be in this case.
The meeting was called to discuss personnel, according to the notice given by the school system. The meeting is reportedly to continue discussing the board's evaluation of superintendent Wanda Creel. The board has met three times behind closed doors in recent weeks to discuss her evaluation.

nice...another secret meeting. maybe our BOE will stand behind the citizens that trusted them with these important decisions and kick her to the curb. not likely though. either way I'm voting against all incumbents for the next 10 years if need be or until they have all been replaced with people with backbones and a conscIence. my elementary student will be in college by the time someone fixes the mess these elected representatives have made of our schools.
