Street sweeping in Winder early Tuesday

TAC Sweeping & Litter Maintenance LLC of Social Circle will be sweeping several streets in downtown Winder in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday, Aug. 14.

The clean-up is to take place from 1 a.m.-5 a.m. Some, or all, of the following streets in the downtown core are scheduled for this work: Portions of Park Avenue, North Jackson Street, East Candler Street, West Candler Street, East Midland Avenue, West Midland Avenue, East Athens Street, West Athens Street, Woodlawn Avenue, Laura Street, Porter Street and possibly a portion of North Broad Street, according to planning director Barry Edgar.
