Separate accidents killed two people on Barrow County roads with a 24-hour period this week, Barrow County Coroner David Crosby confirmed.
A Monroe woman died at the scene of a wreck around 5:30 p.m. Thursday on Ga. Highway 11 and McElhannon Road in Bethlehem. The Georgia State Patrol identified her as Tamara Tinch, 20. She was the passenger of a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire being driven by Robert Stefan Heard, 20, of Monroe. Heard's car was traveling south on Ga. Highway 11 and attempting to make a U-turn in the middle of the roadway when it turned into the path of an oncoming vehicle, reported Gordy Wright, GSP spokesman.
