The Auburn City Council met on Saturday in a special budget session to try and find a way to cut the city’s spending in the 2013 general fund budget. Projected lower revenues could leave the city $250,000 short in that budget unless the city can find new revenue, or cut spending. The council will hold another budget session on Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. On Aug. 9, the council will evaluate city department heads.
