BCSS officials and board to meet this week

The Barrow County School System will host two meetings this week. The first one is at 3 p.m. today (July 23) in the boardroom of the professional development center at 179 W. Athens Street. As a federal requirement, the BCSS Consolidated Lead Educational Agency Improvement Plan (CLIP) for FY13 will be discussed and reviewed. Parents and interested community members are invited to attend and comment.
Additionally, the board of education will convene for a called meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday (July 26). A closed session is planned to discuss personnel, with a vote on personnel decisions expected to follow the executive session.
