Dropping water levels are straining the ability of Barrow County and municipal water systems to meet demand. Low flow problems in the Mulberry River, an unintentional release of water from Fort Yargo Lake and a dropping level at Bear Creek Reservoir all impact the amount of water available to Barrow County citizens. As a result, local officials are urging customers to conserve water.
