Winder-Barrow High School has a new band director, and it's someone students might already be familiar with. Brett Johnson, formerly the band director at Winder-Barrow Middle School, will take over the high school’s band, a decision the board of education made after its Tuesday meeting. Among the major changes, more than 70 custodial jobs were eliminated as part of the board’s earlier decision to outsource all custodial work.

I would love to know why the least experienced candidate was chosen for this job? Every other person interviewed had more relevant experience and training.

Mr. Johnson is well qualified! He has done a wonderful job with the WBMS band. He may have the least experience but I think he has a lot to offer the WBHS band.
