Barrow BOC in July will change time of second monthly meetings

Starting in July, the second regular meeting of the Barrow County Board of Commissioners will begin an hour earlier. Instead of having a second voting session at 7 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month, the BOC will have a 6 p.m. “work session” with no planned votes. The reason for the earlier meeting time is to allow the commissioners and staff more time to discuss issues that will be the subject of votes at the next regular business meeting. The business meetings will continue to start at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.
