Dawn Reidling, the recently fired billing director for all of Winder's utility services, will go before the Winder City Council on Tuesday night to appeal her termination.

Reidling was a long-time employee of the city government who oversaw utility billing and meter reading. Her appeal is scheduled to start at 6:45 p.m. June 5 and will be held at the Winder Community Center.

Following the hearing, which is open to the public, the mayor and city council are planning to go into a closed meeting to decide the outcome of Reidling's request.

The council's regular work session is Monday, June 4, at 5:30 p.m., and the regular business session is at 6 p.m. June 5. The council is scheduled to adopt the FY2013 city budget at Tuesday's regular meeting.

I don't have a dog in this fight, however, I am amazed at the number of people who say that have moved or don't live here anymore but read these articles and responses.

Best I can tell is you still have some of those toothless redneck family members or yours living here and just want to keep an eye on them...see if they made the court docket or was arrested for some reason...otherwise, why would you keep coming back and reading about us low rent white redneck trash.

When you moved, you should cut all ties and be gone. Leave us red's to our own misery.

The dispatcher probably said something about not being able to do anything because Walmart is in the county, not the city. Probably should have called 911 instead of WPD directly. 911 goes to a county dispatcher. As for the last part of your accusation, I doubt that was said.

One time I was at le Wally World and I saw two rednecks jousting with wrapping paper in a grocery cart. I told a security guy (not a police officer, but good enough) and he punched one of the guys and got in the grocery cart in his place. that guy won the tournament, I was surprised. I think it was his form.
