Drinking leads to jail time in Statham

The Statham Police Department made four arrests during the past week. Three of the four arrests were alcohol-related offenses. Those arrested and their charges include:

•Matthew John Boggess, 26, 155 Quail Valley Road, Auburn, public intoxication.

•Russell Terry Farmer, 37, 1798 Oak Spring Street, Statham, battery FVA.

•John Richard Goforth, 51, 1714 Granite Lane, Statham, taillight violation and DUI.

•Daniel Lee Nelson, 25, 529 Shenandoah Lane, Winder, DUI and failure to stop at a stop sign.
