Crime is just going to get worse. Especially now with the bill that Gov Deal signed the other day. When you reduce the sentences criminals face, they are going to commit more crime. Rehabilitation only works on those who want to be rehabilitated. As soon as the perps realize that the worst punishment they will get is probabation, they'll be out committing more crime, and the cops are going to get to a mindset of what is the point, nothing will be done to the perps, so why bother.

Stalking is phase I. If this is not nipped in the bud now- Phase II will be much worse.

Whomever the person is needs to report to the parole officer in writing afterwards they have no other choice but to take action and they can do a whole lot more than the local police department, however I would still make reports on file.

We had a DA who got the job done, but Barrow County decided it was more important to elect a friend to the Winder elite than the guy that the Governor sent in to clean up the mess Madison and his cronies, including Smith, left. Now we are reaping what we sowed.

Dear Fortitude and Our Liberal Da: It appears that you two did not actually read this article. If you did, you surely would have noticed that it was a Braselton police officer who did not take out charges against the stalking ex-boyfriend and NOT the DA's office. That means that this had nothing to do with the DAs office. From what I know, this District Attorney has done more for victims than the previous DA ever did.

Surely you mean the victims of the Banks County murder case that Brad Smith dismissed? Maybe you mean the victims of the Hoschton murder case he dropped the death penalty on? Or are you talking about the woman that was killed in Suwanee by her husband right after they gave him a bond in Barrow County? Could it be the Gresham kids who were killed in Commerce after their father got out on bond in Jackson County? Exactly what victims has this DA "done more for"??

I believe they are referring to the Perps and their families as the "victims." Afterall, Perps are victims of society, according to the Liberals.
