Authorities are still looking for a man who went missing Monday afternoon where he was last seen walking on Freeman Johnson Road, toward Ga. Hwy. 211.
Family members of James Gunter Sr., 51, contacted the sheriff’s office shortly after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, to report him as missing. The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office searched the area, but has been unable to find him. The search continues and more resources are being deployed to find Gunter, according to a press release.
Gunter is not believed to have left in a vehicle and there are no signs of foul play at this time, according to the sheriff’s office.
Gunter may be wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and a blue baseball hat. He is described as a white male, 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds. He has brown eyes and graying brown hair.
