Alcohol referendum passes in Bethlehem

It’s official – the voters of Bethlehem will decide this summer whether beer and wine can be bought on Sundays. At its March 5 meeting, the Bethlehem Town Council unanimously voted to approve a resolution to place a referendum on the July 31 ballot for Sunday package sales of beer and wine between the hours of 12:30-11:30 p.m.

Post 5 Councilmember Tommy Buchanan, who has previously expressed his opposition to Sunday alcohol sales in Bethlehem, agreed with Post 1 Councilmember Tommy Parten to allow the electors to vote on the sales. Parten made the motion. Larry Jones seconded.

THIS IS ALL BARROW COUNTY NEEDS... YOU HAVE ENOUGH HOMELESS, DRUNKS, DRUG ADDICTS, PREDATORS, ETC RUNNING AROUND IN BARROW COUNTY.
CLEAN UP THE COUNTY NOT HELP MAKE IT WORSE..
IF I ONLY DID MY RESEARCH BRFORE MOVING.
