DOT tests signal at the intersection of State Route 211 and McNeal in Winder

A new traffic signal in Winder at the intersection of State Route 211 and McNeal Road in front of the Holly Hill mall went into operation at about 10:30 Tuesday morning, Georgia Department of Transportation communication director Teri Pope told the Barrow Journal.

“Please use extra caution until you get familiar with the new signal location,” said Georgia DOT District Traffic Engineer Brent Cook in a statement. “Remember to watch out for other drivers until they get used to the new signal too.”

Actually, they replace the old under the pavement sensors that monitor whether traffic is waiting so the computer can regulate the traffic flow. The cameras do the same thing with out cutting the pavement and installing the sensors.

ANNE, THERE NOT CAMERAS, THEY REPLACED THE LOOPS TO THE TRAFFIC CONTROL BOX.
NOW FOR MR BRENT COOK., HE HAS NO CLUE TO WHAT GOING ON, HE WAS AS SMART AS HE THINKS HE IS. HE WOULD BE THE DISTICT ENGINEER BY NOW.
