Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith said no arrests have been made yet in a bomb threat incident at the AT&T store located in Barrow Crossing shopping center in Bethlehem. According to a post on the BCSO Facebook page, the apparent bomb threat occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Deputies and Barrow County Emergency Services responded and determined there was no explosive device on the scene. A person was detained for questioning related to the bomb threat, the post states, but Smith said as of 8 p.m., no arrests were made.
A customer called in with a complaint.
He was put on hold for about 20 minutes.
When the store manager ignored the clerk's request to pick up the phone the clerk informed the disgruntled customer that the manager would call him back.
*Something* was said from the caller at that time. (my source heard the conversation only from the side of the store)
I'm JUST GUESSING but it was probably something suggesting that he wanted to blow up the store.
NO, that's not okay, ever. HOWEVER, the way it was handled by the store suggests to me that the employees wanted to get out of working for the rest of the day...Just my 2 cents.
I have called the Barrow 911 because my neighbor's house was burning (burnt to the ground) and it took them 4 minutes to answer, 13 minutes to respond with ONE firetruck. This county is understaffed, and lacks resources. HOWEVER, the Publix parking lot was lit up like Christmas within minutes. I think AT&T employees were maybe a little dishonest about the situation if they got them out there that quickly.
P.s. I am a reporter who lives in Bethlehem who works for a national publication.
One step for jerks, one giant leap for freelance writers.

OH I get it, you work at AT&T don't you?
Anyways! You're totally diluting the story with pointless commentary.
Sorry, it's the county we live in! I'm seriously concerned that people have trouble believing this or even considering it as a possibility.
The phrase "false sense of security" comes to mind while reading your comment. I'm sure if you asked the people behind me about how they felt before their house burned to the ground, they would probably tell you they had faith in the fire department...before January 2011.
You really are VERY envious of Danny boy aren't you? it shows in most all of your "postings"LMBO
