A deputy responding to a wanted person located call in a Winder subdivision pulled a MacGyver on a suspect who locked himself in a bedroom — he used tweezers to unlock the door.
According to a Barrow County Sheriff’s Office incident report, one of the man’s parents called 911 to report that their son, who was wanted for violating probation on an original charge of obstruction, was at their home.
When the deputy arrived, the wanted suspect, 34-year-old Jeremy Campbell, refused to open a locked bedroom door. That’s when the deputy used a pair of tweezers to gain entry into the room where the Campbell hiding.
Campbell, who was intoxicated and lying in the bed refusing to get up, was pulled up, handcuffed and carried out by deputies to a patrol car.
Sounds like the "suspect" had made his parents mad though, wanted him out.
Glad to see the deputy used common sense instead of busting up the door (damage costing us money probably), so kudos to him on that.
