Pregnant woman beaten with oxygen tank, husband faces charges

A Barrow County Magistrate Judge denied bond for a Winder man who faces charges he allegedly beat his pregnant wife with an oxygen tank causing her to break several bones and require a dozen stiches in the back of her head earlier this week.

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office says James Jerry McDaniel, 27, of 418 Winston Manor Drive, Winder, was booked into the Barrow County jail just after 9 a.m. Thursday and faces three counts of aggravated assault family violence, four counts of aggravated battery family violence, one count of simple battery and one count of false imprisonment. McDaniel’s case has been transferred to Superior Court. He is still being held in the Barrow County jail.

I just hope she is okay and no harm came/comes to that baby.

it is sad and he is just another example of trash. The real sadness is Brad Smith our beloved DA will give him a aslap on the wrist so he will go home and do it again, again and again

I hope they are okay and that the lady has sense enough to stay away and follow through with the charges against her husband. Or else he will be back to do it again and again. The abusers never change. don't know what i'd do if that were my daughter. Sounds like the guy is lucky it is not murder charges.

I can tell you what I would do if it were my daughter. The next story listed would be " Father of the bride faces charges after beating the &^*%%%^$&((^ out of soon to be former son in law".

Please god give this soon to be mother enough sense to dump this piece of trash now.

he told her to hush up twice and she just wouldnt shut up...How do we know she wasnt just acting like most women and begging for it just to get you in trouble...Some times if you dont want to get hit then keep the trap shut a little tighter

No where in the Bible does it say pick up an oxygen tank and beat the crap out of someone.
No matter what she said or did to him she did NOT deserve to be beat like that. And you using a bible verse out of context is just completely wrong.

Some of you really are stupid.If it was someone you knew I'm sure it would be different or maybe ya'll do that kinda thing in your family.Being from Winder has nothing to do with abuse it can and does happen everywhere.Some of your comments are sick this young women needs support and prayers not trash talk.
